Elizabeth Arden

The famous makeup house Elizabeth Arden was created in the early 1900s, and today has eighty perfumes to her name.

A revolutionary in the beauty industry, Elizabeth Arden started off as a spa on fifth-avenue, and soon the business employed 15,000 women, who wore red to symbolise strength.

In 1946, she was featured on the cover of Time Magazine - one of the few women to have done so at the time.

Elizabeth’s brand became well-known for its holistic approach but also for its use of innovative science.

Today it is an empire brand, a leader of skincare and fragrances. The first fragrance launched was Blue Grass, and then came Red Door which remains a classic today.
